  • Can children attend Taster workshops on the wheel?
The youngest age we can accept in a taster workshop on the wheel is 15 years old. If your child is younger, they can attend the kids workshop on the wheel which age range is 9-14 years.
  • What do I need to bring to a workshop?
You do not need to bring anything, just yourself and an apron! If you do not have an apron, please wear comfortable clothing you do not mind getting dirty. Clay will wash out.
  • What if the workshop does not book up?
Our workshops will run with at least 3 students present. If the workshop you signed up to does not book up, we will email you and find an alternative date.
  • I have never worked with clay before, is this ok?
Yes! definitely! we welcome all levels especially students who have never worked with clay before. We are passionate about teaching beginners and sharing skills and techniques to make you feel at ease and express your creativity!
  • I have booked a 4 week course but can not attend 1 week, can I make up for this week at another time?
Our 4-week courses are project-based and build on skills week by week, so it’s difficult to make up a missed session at a later date. Unfortunately, our instructors aren’t able to offer individual catch-up lessons. If you miss a week, we recommend booking one of our drop-in classes to keep practicing and reinforce what you've learned.
  • I have a workshop voucher thats about to expire, can I extend it?
I unfortunately cannot extend vouchers. I offer a lengthy expiry date of 1 year from purchase date. I am a very small business and it's really not feasible for me to extend.

When you sign up for a pottery lesson in my studio, you're getting much more than just a few hours at the wheel, you're investing in a full, enriching experience. Here's what goes into the price: Materials & Tools: Clay, glazes, tools, and kiln firings all add up. I only use high-quality materials so your pieces are durable and beautiful. Small Class Sizes: I keep classes small so everyone gets hands-on, personalized instruction. This ensures a more supportive, less rushed learning environment. Studio Time: Lessons include access to a fully-equipped studio. Behind the scenes, that also means maintenance, cleanup, and preparing the space for a creative and safe experience. Expertise: You're learning from incredible potters with years of experience in ceramics. I pour time and energy into designing each lesson to be approachable, skill-building, and fun! Firing & Finishing: Each item you create requires 2 firings, careful handling, and finishing time, which we take care of for you after class. Sustainable practise: After your lesson, we reclaim the water you used and recycle any leftover or unwanted clay — even the bits that fly off the wheel! This reworking process takes time and patience, but it helps us run a more eco-friendly studio with as little waste as possible. I aim to keep pricing fair while reflecting the real costs of creating a meaningful, high-quality pottery experience.
  • Are your products dishwasher safe and microwaveable?
All work is dishwasher and microwave safe. All glazes are food and liquid safe. Please be careful with thermal shock and try not to expose pieces to extreme conditions such as placing boiling water into a cold cup. Handmade pottery is more delicate than mass produced pottery so please handle with care. Hand washing doesn't use harsh chemicals and many temperature changes so you may find that your pieces will last longer.
