If you would like to book for one of these dates, please press 'book now' and choose the date you can attend. This course is mainly for students who have some experience on the wheel. Yael Rosenberg is an incredibly talented ceramic artist specialising in hand thrown porcelain tableware. She mainly focuses on beautiful hand thrown/carved vases (examples of her vases are displayed in the image section ). I am excited for Yael to teach this brand new workshop in the studio and to share her wonderful techniques and expertise in creating beautiful vases for you to adore and use at home. During the class, Yael will provide step-by-step demonstrations and instructions, as well as individual feedback and assistance to help you improve your skills and create high-quality pieces. The small class size (6 students maximum) also allows for a more intimate and supportive learning environment, where students can ask questions, share ideas, and learn from one another. This workshop is a great opportunity to explore your creativity, learn new techniques, and create unique and functional pieces that you can use and cherish for years to come. Students will spend the duration of the lesson practising and learning different vase shapes. You will then be able to choose 1 vase to keep. We will be trimming your vases for you. This session is more for learning and gaining more confidence and skills at the wheel than producing lots of work. Students can choose 1 glaze from our selected glazes and your piece will go through 2 firings reaching up to 1250 degrees. We will glaze your work for you. Finished pieces can be collected up to 4 weeks after your 4th session. PRICE INCLUDES The price of this lesson includes pre-lesson preparation, teacher tuition, the clay you use and glazes, two separate firings and the additional time it takes to finish your pots (glazing).
