Service Description

Join us for our August Sessions, where we will guide you through creating your very own pitcher/jug using the slab building technique. Whether it’s for serving drinks or displaying your favourite flowers, this hands-on experience will leave you with a beautiful and functional piece of art. We will guide you through various techniques whilst also perfecting the spout for a great pour, and adding your own unique handle to complete the look. You will be making 1 Pitcher to set dimensions and templates, just like the one shown here in the images. Having a maximum of 6 students in the class is a great way to ensure that each participant receives plenty of guidance and attention from the teacher. This allows for a more personalised and hands-on learning experience, which is especially helpful for beginners or those who wish to review pottery techniques. 15 minutes before the lesson finishes will be spent cleaning your work area and tools. After your lesson, your work will be trimmed, glazed and fired which may take up 4-5 weeks to complete. All pieces will go through 2 firings reaching up to 1250 degrees. PRICE INCLUDES The price of this lesson includes pre-lesson preparation, tuition, the clay you use and glazes, two separate firings and the additional time it takes to finish your pots (glazing). We will need at least 3 people booked onto this class for it to go ahead. Please press 'Book Now' below and click 10th August on the calendar to book.
