Week 2: Trimming and Bisque Firing
You will need to come back to trim your pieces the following week. By then your work will be dry enough to pick up and turn upside down. We will need to work on the base and sides using metal trimming tools. This part of the process can really transofrm your pieces.
When your pieces are finished , Melisa will put them in her electric kiln for the first firing at 1000 degrees.
Week 3: Glazing
When your work has been fired, you will be contacted to come back and glaze your pieces using Melisa's glazes. Your work will then go into its second firing at 1260 degrees.
Melisa will then contact you to collect your work.
